Socorro Portella's work experience includes serving as the Vice President of Clinical Development at Caribou Biosciences since August 2022. Prior to this, Socorro held various roles at Novartis, including Sr. Global Clinical Leader in Oncology Clinical Development, Country Medical Director, Head of Medical Affairs, and Medical Manager. Prior to that, they completed a Fellowship in Clinical Oncology at Instituto do Câncer Arnaldo Vieira de Carvalho, SP, Brazil from 1995 to 1998. Socorro Portella holds a degree in Medicine from Universidade do Estado do Pará, which they obtained between 1986 and 1991.
