Aquaculture Scientist - Climate Change Adaptation And Outreach at Cawthron Institute

Jess Ericson is an accomplished Aquaculture Scientist currently working at the Cawthron Institute since March 2019, focusing on climate change adaptation and outreach within the Shellfish Aquaculture Research Platform. Previous experience includes a role as a Junior Aquaculture Scientist at KONO NZ LP from June 2011 to June 2015, concentrating on flat oyster and Greenshell mussel aquaculture, and serving as a Marine Scientist at the Australian Antarctic Division, where Jess investigated the impacts of ocean acidification and warming on sea urchins. Academic credentials include a PhD in Quantitative Marine Science from the University of Tasmania, as well as advanced degrees in Marine Science, Antarctic Studies, and Biological Sciences from the University of Otago and University of Canterbury.
