Iain MacAulay

Iain Macaulay is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in project finance, currently serving as Director and Head of Project Finance for both British International Investment and CDC Group plc since November 2016. In this role, Iain leads a significant growth phase in the Project Finance business, focusing on investments across Africa and South Asia in sectors such as power, transport, real estate, manufacturing, and general infrastructure, emphasizing development impact and sustainable job creation. Prior to these positions, Iain was a Lead Principal in Infrastructure and Telecommunications Project Finance at Nedbank from January 2002 to November 2016 and held project management roles in various organizations since 1992. Iain holds an MBA and an MSc from the University of the Witwatersrand, as well as a BSc (Hons).
