Rana Rizk

Rana Rizk's work experience includes roles in various organizations. In 2013, they interned as a Laboratory Technician at Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group. Rana then worked as a Quality Control & Laboratory Technician at Aliments Pasta Romana from 2014 to 2016. Rana then served as a Graduate Student Intern at Concordia University from 2016 to 2017. Rana continued their academic journey as a Graduate Student Researcher at Université de Montréal from 2018 to 2020. Rana then joined Centre de Recherche de l'Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont as a Research Assistant from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they work at Celerion as a Scientist I, specializing in Protocol Design & Development.

Rana Rizk began their education at McGill University in 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Life Science degree in Microbiology and Molecular Biotechnology in 2014. After completing their undergraduate studies, Rana pursued further education at Concordia University, where they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Biotechnology and Genomics from 2016 to 2017. Rana then enrolled at the Université de Montréal from 2018 to 2020, where they completed a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science.

Additionally, Rana has obtained several certifications related to their field. In 2014, they became a "Microbiologiste Agréée Mcb.A" through L'Association des Microbiologistes du Québec. In 2015, they obtained the certification of "Registered Microbiologist RMCCM" from The Canadian College of Microbiologists. Furthermore, Rana acquired additional training and certifications in biosafety, hazardous waste disposal, safe use of biological safety cabinets, and WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) from Concordia University's Environment Health and Safety during September 2016.
