Kate Petosa

Kate Petosa currently serves as an Associate in Energy and Environment Policy at the Center for American Progress since February 2023, previously holding the position of Coordinator in the same field. Prior experience includes working as a Project Assistant at Brown Rudnick LLP, where Kate assisted in legal preparations and conducted specialized research. Kate held roles as an Advocacy Intern at Thistle Farms and the Metro Nashville Office of Family Safety, where efforts focused on legislative advocacy and client support for domestic violence victims, respectively. In academia, Kate was a Research Team Lead at Vanderbilt University, leading community surveys for policy recommendations, and held multiple leadership positions within the Vanderbilt Student Government, advocating for student issues. Kate's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University, graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors in Human and Organizational Development and Public Policy Studies.
