Tess Moran is an Industrial Policy Analyst at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES), where she researches challenges to industrial decarbonization and solutions to thermal emissions and supports the Renewable Thermal Collaborative.

Prior to joining C2ES, Ms. Moran worked as an intern for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Program, where she researched sustainable federal procurement and ecolabel recommendations. She also worked on a capstone project on the Systems Dynamic Modeling of Sustainable Machining Operations, where she analyzed the environmental, economic, technical, and time-based factors associated with CNC milling.

Ms. Moran graduated Magna Cum Laude from James Madison University with a B.S. in integrated science and technology with concentrations in environmental science and production systems, and a minor in religious studies.
