Edward Spotten

Edward Spotten has over 20 years of diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Edward currently serves as the Enterprise Agile Leader and Senior Director of the Agile Program Office at the Center for Internet Security, where they lead a team in providing agile support and guiding corporate efforts towards adopting a more agile way of working. Prior to this, they worked as an Enterprise Agile Architect/Consultant at HCL Enterprise, driving agile adoption and transformations and winning contracts through innovative solutions. Edward also served as a Principal Agile Consultant at CA Technologies, supporting clients in their adoption and application of agility and witnessing the benefits it brought to organizations. Additionally, Edward worked as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, and Technical Product Owner at Synerspec/MaxSam Partners, leading and coaching Agile teams and implementing best practices. Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Scrum Master, Lead QA Software Engineer, Product Owner, Business Analyst, and QA Manager/Developer Lead, where they applied agile practices and encouraged innovative ideas and solutions. Edward also gained experience as an Internship - Software Developer Lead at Hewlett-Packard and as a Deputy Sheriff and Accident Investigator at the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a passion for building vision, leading change, and driving efficiency and innovation within organizations.

Edward Spotten completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Jack Welch Management Institute, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General. Edward obtained this degree between 2018 and 2024. Prior to their MBA, Edward earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from Neumont College of Computer Science from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, they completed a short-term program at Bridgerland Technical College in 1999, obtaining a certification in Law Enforcement from the Police Academy.

In terms of additional certifications, Edward Spotten acquired the Path to Agility (Facilitator) certification from Agile Velocity in May 2020. Edward also obtained the SPC5 (SAFe Program Consultant) certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in March 2017. Lastly, Edward holds a DB2 Certified designation from IBM.
