Jessica Lea

Jessica Lea currently serves as the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation at Central Carolina Technical College, a role held since January 2009. In addition to this position, Jessica is the Department Chair for Science and a Biology Instructor, responsible for teaching Microbiology, Genetics, and General Biology courses, and leading the development of curriculum and labs for Microbiology. Prior to this, Jessica worked as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of South Carolina from January 2007 to January 2009 and held the position of Research Specialist II, focusing on genotyping and the maintenance of an immunocompromised mouse colony. Jessica holds a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Carolina, achieved between 2015 and 2018, a Master's Degree in Biology from the same institution (2004-2006), and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Winthrop University (2000-2004).
