Marco Becht

Marco Becht is a distinguished academic in the field of finance, currently serving as a Professor of Finance at Université Libre de Bruxelles and a Visiting Professor at Imperial College Business School since January 2024. Holding the position of Goldschmidt Professor of Corporate Governance at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management since 2008, Marco also acts as Executive Director at the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) and serves as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research and as a Senior Adviser at Oxera. In addition, Marco has held various prestigious short-term roles, including Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Rock Center for Corporate Governance at Stanford University and Visiting Researcher at Waseda University. Marco's academic background includes a Master of Science in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from LSE.
