Dennis Hicks

Dennis Hicks is an experienced scientist specializing in research related to chemistry and biochemistry. Currently serving as an Assistant Scientist at Cerus since November 2022, Dennis previously held roles as a Senior Research Associate and Associate Researcher at Vector Laboratories, Inc. from July 2019 to November 2022. At the University of San Francisco, from January 2017 to May 2019, Dennis worked as a Graduate Student Researcher in Dr. Janet Yang's lab, focusing on the NaAtm1 ABC transporter related to toxic metal expulsion. Earlier, Dennis contributed to biochemistry research as an Undergraduate Researcher at San Francisco State University under Dr. George Gassner. Additional prior experience includes operational roles in warehousing and water pollution control. Dennis holds a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from San Francisco State University.
