John began their career at Amgen as a Senior Associate, Clinical Site Management from 2006 to 2008. John then worked as a Lead Clinical Research Associate at MedFocus on assignment with PPD from 2004 to 2006. Before that, they served as a Clinical Research Site Manager at First-Med Primary Care from 2003 to 2004. Their first role in the industry was as a Clinical Research Associate at PRA Health Sciences from 2001 to 2003.

John McAdory, MHA completed their education with a Master of Health Administration degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which they attended from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Hampton University, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. It is not known if a degree was obtained, or the field of study pursued at Ransom Everglades, the school they attended from 1991 to 1995.
In addition to their formal education, John McAdory also obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in August 2015.
