Reza Saghaee

Reza Saghaee is a highly experienced professional in civil engineering, currently serving as the Head of Tunnelling - Transportation Canada East at AECOM since June 2022, contributing to the Blue Line Metro Project. As President and Program Director of the Canadian Geotechnical Society since November 2015, Reza has played a significant role in advancing geotechnical practices. Previously, Reza was a Project Manager at SNC-Lavalin, overseeing the Réseau express métropolitain project from October 2017 to May 2022. Reza's academic background includes a PhD in Civil Engineering from McGill University, where involvement extended to roles as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant focused on geotechnical engineering and structural analysis. Additional research experience includes positions at C-CORE, Université de Sherbrooke, and Hydro Québec.
