George Cotton Sr

George Cotton Sr. serves as the Senior Vice President at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History since January 2018. Prior to this role, George held positions as Vice President of Advancement at Florida A&M University from 2015 to 2018 and Assistant Vice President Development at Wake Forest Baptist Health from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, George served as Director of Development & Alumni Relations for the College of Science at George Mason University from 2007 to 2011, and as Associate Director of Institutional Advancement for the College of Science at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale from 2005 to 2008. George's early career includes a role as Urban Youth Specialist at the University of Missouri Extension from 1982 to 1995. George Cotton Sr. earned a Master's degree in Political Science and Government from Arkansas State University, where studies took place from 1976 to 1982.
