Luca Predebon

Luca Predebon has extensive experience in the field of credit risk and underwriting. Luca currently holds the position of Global Head of Underwriting at Checkout.com, a role they assumed in April 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Credit Risk at Checkout.com from September 2021 to May 2022.

Before joining Checkout.com, Luca worked at Stripe as the EMEA Head of Credit Risk from August 2020 to September 2021. Luca also held various roles at Worldpay, including Head of Large Credit from July 2017 to August 2020, Senior Credit Manager from September 2016 to July 2017, Credit Risk Manager - Large Credit (Sector Lead for Retail, Digital and Financial Institutions) from May 2015 to September 2016, and Senior Credit Analyst - Large Credits from August 2013 to April 2015.

Prior to their time at Worldpay, Luca worked as a Credit Analyst at Chevron, specializing in London Trading and Russia, EMEA, from March 2013 to July 2013.

Earlier in their career, Luca gained experience at First Data Corporation, where they served as a Senior Credit/Risk Analyst - Corporate Credit Team (formerly Credit Analyst - Periodic Review) from December 2010 to March 2013. Luca also worked as a Collections Supervisor - Secondment from August 2010 to November 2010 and as a Collections and Remedial Risk Agent from February 2008 to August 2010.

Luca's early career includes a role as a Credit Controller at RCI Europe and Middle East from May 2007 to February 2008, and as a Trade Services Clerk at HSBC from September 2006 to May 2007.

Luca Predebon pursued their education chronologically with their first academic experience at the Universita degli Studi di Torino from 2001 to 2004. During this time, they earned a Laurea in Studi Internazionali, with a focus on International/Global Studies.

Later, in 2009, Luca attended the Institute of Credit Management for three years and completed a L3 Diploma in Credit Management.

Their most recent educational endeavor was at Middlesex University from 2017 to 2019, where they pursued an MA in Management International Payments Ecosystem. The specific field of study for this degree is not mentioned.
