Razia Butt has a wide range of work experience in the healthcare field. Razia currently works as a Health Specialist and Case Manager at Health | Santé. Prior to this, they were a Clinic Manager at Precision Medical Centre.

Razia also has experience as a Research Volunteer at CHEO Research Institute, a Baby Friendly Initiative Project Coordination Assistant at Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre, and an Observership at Kingsway Health Centre.

Razia Butt has a diverse education history. Razia started their educational journey by attending Sir Syed Govt. College Karachi from 1992 to 1994, where they completed their high school studies with a focus on science. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, from 1995 to 2000. This degree provided their with a solid foundation in the field of medicine.

In 2015, Razia enrolled at the University of Ottawa and completed a Graduate Diploma in Risk Assessment and Management the following year. During their time at the university, they focused on various subjects such as epidemiology, HTA (Health Technology Assessment), risk assessment, health economic evaluation, and risk assessment in government.

In addition to their formal education, Razia has obtained several certifications to further enhance their knowledge and skills in various areas. In January 2015, they completed a course on Research Ethics at the Royal Ottawa Hospital. In December 2014, they obtained certification in First Aid and CPR with AED from the City of Ottawa. More recently, in July 2021, they completed AODA Training at the Ontario Human Rights Commission. Their most recent certification, obtained in February 2022, is in Contact Tracing and was obtained from the Indigenous Primary Health Care Council.
