Margaret Jones

Margaret Jones has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Margaret started their career as an intern for Alan J. Dixon, a former U.S. Senator, in 1992. In 1993, Margaret worked as a Research Assistant at the Civic Federation. Margaret then moved on to become the Coordinator of Economic Development for the City of Chicago in 1998. Margaret joined the Chicago Housing Authority in 1999 as a Project Coordinator, and eventually worked their way up to the position of Director, overseeing Programs, Revenue, and Partnerships. Margaret held this role until 2019, where they continued to work for the Chicago Housing Authority as the Director until the present time.

Margaret Jones has a diverse education history. Margaret enrolled at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 2006 to 2008, where they pursued a Certificate of Nonprofit Management. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1996, Margaret attended the University of Illinois Chicago to obtain a Master of Public Administration. Margaret completed their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Loyola University Chicago from 1990 to 1993. In their earlier years, Margaret studied Sociology at the University of Michigan from 1986 to 1989. Lastly, they graduated from Julian H.S. in 1986 with a Diploma. Margaret also holds a certification in Nonprofit Leadership, which they obtained in December 2019 through the Allstate Foundation's Nonprofit Management Essentials Online Connection program.
