Sarah Daily

Sarah Daily worked as Co-Director, Equity, Quality, and Access to Early Care and Education at Child Trends starting from January 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Research Scientist for Early Childhood Development at the same organization since December 2009. Before joining Child Trends, they were a Program Director at the National Governors Association from December 2008 to December 2009 and a Senior Policy Analyst from an unspecified date in 2006 to December 2008. Sarah began their career as a Research Analyst at the American Institutes for Research in July 2001, holding the position until January 2006. Sarah has extensive experience working with state early childhood programs and policy leaders, having developed strong connections and provided technical assistance and research studies in over 30 states. Sarah's network of state relationships was initially cultivated during their tenure at the National Governors Association, where they supported governor's early childhood policy advisors and facilitated state early childhood policy summits and academies.

Sarah Daily completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy at Duke University from 1997 to 2001. Later, they pursued their Masters in Elementary Education at George Mason University between 2002 and 2006. Lastly, they obtained their Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from George Mason University, completing it from 2009 to 2013.
