Karan R. is a seasoned professional in product risk strategy, currently serving as Manager at Chime since October 2019 and has been instrumental as a founding member of Chime's risk team. Leading a team of six, Karan directs the credit strategy and technological framework for various liquidity and credit products. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Credit Risk Analyst at LendingClub, where management of risk for the repeat customers portfolio involved A/B testing and optimization of credit models. Karan has also provided mentorship for machine learning students at Coursera and conducted significant research as a Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Science, leading to a published paper on electricity consumption analysis. Karan co-founded two ventures, Buildblockz.com and On9Guru.com, focused on strategic platforms for education and student support.
