Beth Hazen

Beth’s leadership experience spans almost three decades in nonprofit and public service settings. She comes to us after working 15 years at the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS). During her tenure as the Local Office Director for DCS Marion County East since 2014, she spearheaded strategic planning initiatives in the areas of equity and inclusion, employee engagement, and continuous quality improvement. She has mentored supervisors, division managers, and new local office directors at DCS and has led teams in both urban and rural settings.

Before DCS, Beth worked in Anderson, Indiana in various roles. She developed and coordinated programs for developmentally disabled children and adults, led and trained staff, managed budgets, and prepared for state audits. From 2016 to 2018, Beth taught undergraduate students about child welfare at Ball State University.
