JOB SUMMARY:

The Safety & Security Specialist at Christ Fellowship gets to provide administrative support to the Director of Security, Security Team and Team volunteers.  This position will also drive and manage assigned security projects.   This is not your typical position – you’ll be working with some highly skilled individuals and some highly confidential situations.  We are looking for someone with the gift of administration who is comfortable discussing worst case scenarios.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Properly plan and prepare activities while providing regular administrative support for a wide range of activities – ordering supplies, processing invoices and reconciling department expense reports.
  • Be the subject matter expert for the departments budget and yearly budget process
  • Keep track of all the money your team spends on the monthly basis
  • Work closely with Christ Fellowship Information Technology Ministry and Vendors to ensure all equipment is maintained and working to capacity
  • Work closely with vendors to track projects
  • Gather quotes and prepare and submit capital requests and departmental requests for equipment.
  • Prepare purchase orders and track receivables
  • Work with departments on radio orders and coordinate purchase order process and programming with team
  • Work with training coordinator/Security Director on organizing training
  • Handle access control requests for events and high-level security requests
  • Administer our security access system
  • Work closely with construction on new projects and non-construction projects as it relates to Safety & Security equipment to include planning for door hardware, locks, electronic access control, cameras and other security and safety equipment.
  • All security information requests – be the one to respond by drafting and communicating back out from mail, email and phone calls received to the department
  • Work closely with the Director of Security to monitor annual goals and budget relative to the Gardens security mission. 
  • Work with the Campus Staffs and Campus Safety Teams to ensure the staffing and functionality of the teams during all services and events.
  • Schedule and coordinate weekly/monthly meetings and orientations with teams as needed.
  • Work with other CF Ministries to ensure an attitude of Christ-like service permeates all teams.
  • In concert with the Core Security Staff creates, evaluates, and improves policies and procedures related to fire evacuation, active violence, and other safety and security related scenarios.
  • Coordinate with the Core Security Staff and leadership during actual emergencies to ensure timely decision making.
  • Be prepared to assume the duties of the Director of Security as required.
  • Ensure that the security team maintains a clear ministry mindset while developing excellent security skills in support of the CF vision and values.
  • Assist with the Pastoral oversight/leadership of the safety and security teams as directed by the Director of Security.
  • Be fully available to assist with security related challenges or incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide skilled and experienced counsel to senior CF Leadership regarding CF safety and security issues along with Director of Security.
  • Provide direct oversight and guidance to safety and security related projects and programs.
  • Provide various types of administrative support and oversight (budget, project, etc.), as required.
  • Special projects, as assigned.
