Sam Miles

Sam Miles has a diverse work experience in the public and private sectors. Sam worked as a Principal Policy Analyst at the Department of Internal Affairs from February 2019 to the present, where they previously held the role of Senior Analyst from May 2016 to February 2019. Before that, they were a Senior Analyst at the Office of Treaty Settlements from August 2013 to April 2016. Sam also worked as an Advisor at the Ministry of Justice from January 2011 to July 2013. In the private sector, they served as the Head of Civil Litigation at G T Stewart Solicitors from January 2009 to June 2010 and as a Civil Litigator at Hallam-Peel & Co. from February 2005 to January 2009.

Sam Miles has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Studies from the University of Leeds, which was obtained from 1990 to 1993. From 1995 to 1997, Sam attended York College of Law to obtain an LPC/CPE degree in Law. Later, from 2017 to 2020, Sam pursued a Master of Laws degree in Public Law from Victoria University of Wellington.
