Andrew Byrne

Andrew Byrne is a Senior DevSecOps Engineer at C.H. Robinson since October 2022, with prior experience as a Security Engineering Lead at Nitro, Inc. and a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer at Dell EMC. Andrew's tenure at Dell EMC also included roles as Principal Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist, focusing on cybersecurity and cryptography through EU-funded research projects. In addition to industry roles, Andrew served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Cork Institute of Technology, teaching security for Cloud Computing. Previous positions include senior and software engineering roles at McAfee, research roles at University College Cork, and a visiting researcher position at RMIT. Andrew holds a PhD in Cryptography from University College Cork, along with an MEngSc in Microelectronics, and a BEng in Electronic & Computer Engineering from University of Galway.
