Peter Luginbühl

Peter Luginbühl has a diverse work experience in the field of computational biology. Peter is currently working as the Director of Computational Biology at Cibus since October 2016. Their previous experience includes serving as a Computational Biologist and Protein Engineer at Southern California from July 2015 to September 2016, and as a Computational Biology Leader at BP Biofuels from September 2010 to July 2015. Peter has also worked as a Senior Scientist at Verenium Corporation from June 2007 to September 2010, and as a Bioinformatics Scientist II at Diversa Corporation from February 2003 to June 2007. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Syngenta, Torrey Mesa Research Institute from January 2001 to February 2003. Peter began their career as a Senior Researcher/Lecturer at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Peter Luginbühl completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Theoretical Physics at ETH Zürich from 1985 to 1991. Peter then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biophysics at ETH Zürich from 1991 to 1996.
