Umer Farooq Khan

Umer Farooq Khan has a diverse work experience in the field of software quality assurance. Umer Farooq began their career in 2017 as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at ACIT, where they executed test suites and test cases for web and mobile applications. Umer Farooq then moved on to CareCloud in 2018, where they served as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, overseeing quality-assurance testing and performing various types of testing such as smoke, regression, and usability testing. At Orbit-Ed in 2019, Umer worked as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, collaborating with multiple teams and executing testing for complex functionality.

Most recently, Umer has been working at Cielo WiGle Inc. since 2020. Umer Farooq started as a Software Quality Engineer and then advanced to the role of Senior Software Quality Engineer. Currently, Umer holds the position of Team Lead QA, where they are responsible for leading the software quality assurance effort on major products/releases. This includes creating test schedules, detailing test cases, and reporting test results. Umer Farooq also contributes to the continuous improvement of QA processes and interacts with other departments to gather and understand business requirements. Umer's expertise lies in utilizing Microsoft technologies to design and maintain bug-free environments for existing and new products.

Umer Farooq Khan pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from The University of Lahore from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed a B.Tech degree in Electronics from Preston University between 2012 and 2014, specialized in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
