Tess Piening Mulrey

Research Ecologist at Cincinnati Nature Center

Tess Piening Mulrey is an experienced research ecologist and naturalist currently working at the Cincinnati Nature Center since November 2016. Before this, Tess served as STEM Outreach Coordinator and adjunct instructor at Thomas More University from August 2019 to December 2022, where responsibilities included coordinating outreach, teaching aquatic biology, and developing environmental education programs. Tess has also held various roles at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and was involved in outdoor education and biological research at organizations such as the US Fish and Wildlife Service and MetroParks of Butler County. Tess earned a Master of Science in Biology with a focus on Behavioral Ecology from Illinois State University and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Cincinnati.
