Billy Cheng

Billy Cheng has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance industry. Billy started their career at Timber Hill Securities in 2003 as a Derivatives Trader and worked there until 2007. Billy then joined Citadel as an Options Trader, where they stayed until 2009. Following that, they worked at Eclipse Trading as a Senior Trader for a brief period in 2010. Billy then moved on to Ipex Trading & NF Trinity Capital, where they served as the Director and Head of Trading from 2010 to 2015.

In 2016, Billy joined Eastmore Group as a Portfolio Manager, specializing in Quantitative Strategies, and worked there until 2018. Billy then joined Citadel Securities as a Systematic Trader in 2019, and over time, advanced to become the Head of Systematic Trading for Hong Kong in 2021 and the Head of Systematic Trading for APAC in 2022.

Overall, Billy has gained valuable experience in trading, options, derivatives, and portfolio management throughout their career, demonstrating their expertise in the finance industry.

Billy Cheng attended the University of Chicago from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics. Following their undergraduate studies, from 2003 to 2006, they pursued further education at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. During this period, Billy obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Investment Management, studying part-time.
