Kelly Garcia

Kelly Garcia is a dedicated journalist and civic reporting fellow currently working at City Bureau since December 2017, alongside a freelance journalism role at The TRiiBE since June 2020. Prior experience includes a marketing specialist position at DePaul University's Office of Student Involvement from September 2016 to June 2020 and various roles as a resident advisor and student assistant, where efforts focused on community engagement and promoting the Vincentian Mission. Kelly's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from DePaul University, completed in 2020. Additionally, as a community peacemaker, significant contributions were made to restorative justice practices in collaboration with Chicago Public Schools.
