Patrice Ruffin Dowdell

Patrice Ruffin Dowdell, AICP, currently serves as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Brookhaven, Georgia, a position held since November 2014, where additional roles have included Director and Deputy Director of Community Development. Prior experience encompasses a judicial externship for Judge Kimberly M. Esmond Adams at the Superior Court of Fulton County and a role as a Student Attorney at the Phillip C. Cook Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic at Georgia State University College of Law. Prior to Brookhaven, Patrice worked as Manager of Planning & Zoning at the Collaborative and had a progressive career at CH2M HILL as Assistant Director of Planning & Zoning and Senior Planner. Education includes a Doctor of Law (JD) from Georgia State University College of Law, a Master of Urban & Regional Planning, and a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning, both from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University.
