Lauren Safranek, SHRM-SCP has extensive experience in human resources management. Lauren began their career as an HR intern at the City of Carrollton, Texas in 1990. From there, they went on to work as a Human Resources Manager at the North Central Texas Council of Governments from 1991 to 1996.
In 1996, Safranek joined the City of Southlake as the Director of Human Resources, a position they held until 2000. During their time at Southlake, they gained valuable leadership skills and experience in managing various HR functions.
Safranek then took on the role of Director of Human Resources at the City of Frisco in 2000. In this position, they were responsible for overseeing the HR function for the entire City and its 1,300 employees. Their responsibilities included compensation and classification, benefits and insurance, training and development, recruitment and onboarding, policy development and employee relations, investigations, strategic planning, and budgeting.
Through their progressive roles and diverse experience, Safranek has gained a comprehensive understanding of HR and has proven herself as a capable and knowledgeable HR professional.
Lauren Safranek, SHRM-SCP, obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the University of North Texas, specializing in Personnel Administration and Industrial Relations, during the period of 1986 to 1990. In addition to their degree, they also hold certifications in the field of Human Resources, including the Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), obtained in February 2020, and the Certified Labor Relations Professional (CLRP) from the National PELRA, obtained in November 2018.
