Marta Franco Parra is a seasoned Human Rights Officer with extensive experience at the United Nations Human Rights since 2004, currently serving in a key role since November 2019. Marta has coordinated significant initiatives, including preparing reports on youth rights and organizing high-level meetings related to human rights declarations. Previous roles include contributions to the establishment of the International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism on Syria and managing human rights projects across South America. Marta's career began with contributing to EU human rights positions and drafting important reports during internships with the European Commission. Education includes a Master's degree in International Humanitarian Law from the University of Geneva and various other advanced qualifications in international law and human rights.
