Assistant Chief Fire Marshal at City of Kirkwood, Missouri

Leo Meyer is an experienced fire service professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Assistant Chief Fire Marshal for the City of Kirkwood since December 2011, Leo's responsibilities include plan reviews, code enforcement, fire investigations, public education, and commercial building inspections. Prior to this role, Leo held the position of Deputy Chief / Fire Marshal at the Kirkwood Fire Department, focusing on plan reviews and inspections of new commercial buildings, as well as overseeing building maintenance. Leo's earlier experience also includes a Captain position, where responsibilities included leadership during shifts, oversight of staffing, and serving as the EMS Officer. Educational qualifications include a Paramedic Degree from East Central College, a Fire Science degree from Jefferson College, and additional studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
