Justin Derby

Justin Derby currently serves as Vice President of Acquisitions & Forward Planning for Northern California at Meritage Homes and holds the same title at MLC Holdings, Inc., a subsidiary focused on land entitlement for future Meritage Communities. Since August 2015, Justin has been a Planning Commissioner for the City of Novato. Previous experience includes project management at WRA Environmental Consultants, where regulatory entitlements were negotiated for significant Bay Area developments, as well as positions in project development and land acquisition across various companies, including Infinity Wind Power, ATC Partners, and CB Richard Ellis. Justin Derby holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UC San Diego.
