Melissa Blaustein is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in public service and global advocacy, currently serving as a City Council Member and Mayor of Sausalito since February 2018. As Vice Chair of the Sustainability Commission, Melissa Blaustein advises the City Council on waste management and climate action initiatives. Prior roles include Founder and CEO of Allied For Startups, where Melissa Blaustein fostered collaboration among startups, entrepreneurs, and advocacy organizations, and Executive Communications at Acumen. Melissa Blaustein has also contributed to the Fuel Freedom Foundation in various capacities, shaping international programs to address energy poverty in Africa. Notable previous positions include CoFounder of the One City Forum, International Outreach and Partnerships at France Digitale, and consultancy roles with UN Environment and UN Women. Melissa Blaustein holds a Masters of Public Affairs from Sciences Po and a Bachelors of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley.
