Chris Newall

Chris Newall has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Chris currently holds the position of Sales & Strategy Director at Clarke Telecom, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Indigo Telecom Group as the Chief Commercial Officer from June 2020 to October 2022.

Their previous role at Ciena involved various leadership positions, including Vice President, Strategic Sales, EMEA from November 2018 to May 2020, Vice President Global Accounts EMEA from April 2016 to November 2018, Senior Director, Global Carrier Sales from October 2012 to April 2016, and Account Leader Cable & Wireless from March 2010 to October 2012.

Before joining Ciena, Chris had a long career at Nortel, starting as an Account Director in March 1993 and staying with the company for 17 years. During their time at Nortel, they held multiple strategic roles, including Director Optical/Data, C&W Account Team. Chris achieved significant growth for Nortel's business with clients like C&W and received several awards for their outstanding performance.

Chris Newall began their career at STC Telecommunications, where they gained experience through various roles, including a graduate development program. Chris was involved in business planning, marketing, and product management before settling full-time in the product management team.

Chris Newall earned a B.Eng degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from The University of Manchester, completing their studies from 1987 to 1990.
