Kayla Steele Payne

Kayla Steele Payne is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in higher education and communication. Currently serving as Chief of Staff at Clemson University in the College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences since August 2012, Kayla also holds the position of Director of Assessment, Planning & Accreditation within the same college and has previously worked as a Research Associate in the Office for Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment and as a Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies. Prior to this role, Kayla was an Instructor of Oral Communication at the University of Delaware from August 2010 to August 2012 and briefly served as MEPI Program Staff for the U.S. Department of State in 2011. Kayla earned a Master’s degree in Communication from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and Political Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
