Kristen Herhold

Kristen Herhold has a long and varied work experience. In 2020, they became the Director of Public Relations at Clever Real Estate, where they recruited, onboarded, and managed a team of data writers, outreach specialists, and data analysts. Kristen also planned and built sustainable SEO and growth strategies to secure more link placements and media coverage and improve search rankings. From 2017-2020, they were with Clutch.co, first as a Senior Content Writer and Editor, where they created and promoted monthly research reports on digital marketing, advertising, social media, and office trends, and then as a Content Writer & Marketer. From 2016-2017, they were with Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG) as an Environmental Editor, providing writing and editing support for clients such as the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Energy, Architect of the Capitol, and other local, state and federal agencies. From 2014-2016, they were with Observer Media Group as a Community/Special Sections Editor, Community Editor, and Staff Writer, where they reported on local community events and produced and edited copy for the weekly newspaper. In 2016, they were a Freelance Copy Editor for Visit Sarasota County, and in 2011, they were a Copy Editor for Expert Claims Consultants. From 2014-2013, they were a Contributing Writer for Cover32 and a Prototype Developer for Meredith Corporation, where they created Host magazine from concept to publication. From 2013-2014, they were an Editorial Intern for Inside Columbia Magazine, where they pitched, wrote, and fact-checked stories on fashion, home, health, entertainment and sports. Lastly, from 2013-2014, they were a Features Intern for The Independent, where they wrote stories in the areas of food, culture, and entertainment.

Kristen Herhold attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2010 to 2014, graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism (BJ) in Magazine Publishing and Management.
