Chen Yang

Dr. Chen Yang is an experienced virologist in synthetic biology. At Codagenix, Dr. Yang leads the development of multiple viral vaccines including Influenza A, Influenza B, RSV, Yellow Fever, COVID-19, as well as multiple animal vaccine projects. He also supports the teams working on Dengue, Zika, as well as multiple oncolytic projects. Dr. Yang developed the original prototype of codon pair bias influenza virus in Eckard Wimmer’s laboratory at Stony Brook University. He also supports the CEO and CBO in designing R&D plans for different partners. Dr. Yang earned his BS in Biotechnology from Zhejiang University of Technology, China, a MS in Biology from Drexel University and a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from Stony Brook University.
