Jerry Brito is the executive director at Coin Center, a research and advocacy center focused on the public policy issues facing cryptocurrency technologies such as Bitcoin. Jerry is also a senior fellow and director of the Technology Policy Program at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, where they specialize in technology law and policy, with a focus on intellectual property, the internet, and emerging technologies. Prior to their work at the Mercatus Center, Brito was the director of operations at America's Future Foundation, a libertarian think tank. Jerry also served as the manager of media relations at the Cato Institute, one of the leading libertarian think tanks in the United States. Brito has been a adjunct professor of law at George Mason University School of Law since 2006, teaching a course on regulatory process.
Jerry Brito attended Florida International University for their BA in Political Science and then went on to attend George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School for their JD in Regulatory Studies.
