Marcelo Saavedra Gajardo

Marcelo Saavedra Gajardo serves as Secretario del Consejo de Especialidad Eléctrica at Colegio de Ingenieros de Chile A.G. since October 2022 and has been an Ingeniero Especialista Eléctrico Senior at Colbun S.A. since December 2016, managing critical contracts such as the BOP Eléctrico for Parque Eólico Horizonte and leading engineering efforts on various projects. Previously, Marcelo held the position of Jefe Especialidad Subestaciones y Estudios at Dessau Chile Ingeniería S.A. from October 2004 to December 2016, overseeing significant projects including the engineering for the expansion of Andina phase II for VP Codelco. Marcelo started their career as Ingeniero de Estudios at Tunning in 2004. Marcelo Saavedra Gajardo holds a degree in Civil Electric Engineering with a focus on power systems from Universidad de Chile, completed in 2004.
