Michael John Petty

Michael John Petty is a seasoned writer and creative professional with extensive experience in the entertainment industry. Currently serving as a Senior Author at Collider since November 2021, Michael specializes in writing feature articles primarily focused on Westerns, encompassing editorials, rankings, and retrospectives. Additionally, Michael writes for Looper, transitioning from an Hourly Features Writer to a Features & News Writer following company restructuring. As an author, Michael self-published the first installment of a supernatural thriller series, "The Beast of Bear-tooth Mountain," in October 2023. Involved in graphic design and digital media management at Eagle Rock Baptist Church, Michael also contributes to the No Fate podcast and has judged screenwriting competitions for NYC Midnight. Michael's writing background includes work with Next Luxury and a brief stint as a scriptwriter.
