Autumn Bystrom, SHRM-SCP

Autumn Bystrom has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Autumn is currently serving as the Head of People + Culture at COLOR since September 2022. Prior to this, Autumn worked as a mother, taking care of their child and developing skills such as patience, empathy, flexibility, and problem-solving since September 2008. Autumn also worked at Formidable from October 2018 to September 2022, initially as the VP of Operations, overseeing human resources, finance, compliance, and providing leadership support. Autumn then took on the role of Director of Operations, where they managed a wide range of responsibilities including HR functions, payroll, and invoicing operations. Autumn played a crucial role in the company's growth, expansion, and financial management.

Before joining Formidable, Autumn worked as an Administrative Assistant at DevLocal, assisting in the planning and establishment of the co-working space from December 2013 to June 2014. Autumn also worked as a Content Writer at PlaceFull from August 2012 to November 2013, where they created engaging content for various platforms. Autumn gained sales experience as a Sales Associate at Shelf Awareness from January 2012 to July 2012, where they contributed significantly to the growth of their email newsletter. Autumn also served as a Social Media Specialist at Greater Good Network from March 2011 to January 2012, managing social media content and ecommerce for multiple Facebook pages.

Autumn has previous experience in the retail industry, working as a Bookseller at Third Place Books from November 2007 to March 2011 and from July 2001 to May 2005. Autumn also worked as a West Coast Sales Representative at Phaidon Press from 2005 to 2007. Throughout their career, Autumn has demonstrated strong leadership skills, adaptability, and versatility, contributing to the success and growth of the organizations they have been a part of.

Autumn Bystrom, SHRM-SCP, obtained an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology in the year 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature at the University of Washington from 1999 to 2001. Autumn also pursued a Direct Transfer degree in Voice and Opera at Shoreline Community College from 1997 to 1999. Alongside their formal education, Autumn has earned several additional certifications. These include "Leading with a Heavy Heart" from LinkedIn in January 2022, SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in June 2019, and a Certificate of Business Administration from the University of Washington in June 2018.
