Nikki Murphy

Nikki Murphy is a seasoned professional in the field of parks and recreation, currently serving as the Associate Director of Recreation and Director of Sports Programs at the Columbus IN Parks and Recreation Department since June 2015. In these roles, Nikki focuses on enhancing the quality of community park and recreation services, overseeing operations related to Hamilton Center Ice Arena, various sports programs and tournaments, and two golf courses. Prior to this, Nikki was the Director at Avon Washington Township Park from September 2013 to May 2015, where responsibilities included planning, directing, and budgeting for park department activities. Nikki's earlier experience includes serving as an Accessibility Specialist at the National Center on Accessibility - Indiana University from August 2007 to September 2013, providing training and consulting on recreational and outdoor environments. Nikki holds a Master's degree in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Studies and a BA in English Language and Literature from Indiana University Bloomington.
