Richard Moore, CPA, B.S. Accounting, J.D. has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Richard started their career as a Senior Accountant at KPMG (formerly Peat Marwick) in 1984, where they worked until 1987. From there, they joined Arthur Andersen as a Senior Tax Accountant for a year. In 1992, Richard established their own firm, Law Offices of Richard W. Moore, where they mainly focused on immigration law. Richard continued practicing law until 2011.
In 1998, Richard briefly served as the Chief Financial Officer and President at Emergency Brake Technologies, Inc. Richard'snext position was at Moore Law Group, P.A. in 1999, where they worked as an Attorney and Controller until 2016 and specialized in immigration law, estate planning, and business law.
Further into their career, Richard became the Regional Director at Go Telecare of MD, LLC in 2015, managing a franchise for telemedicine technology and medical billing services.
In 2017, Richard established Insight Accounting and CFO Services, where they assist law firms and other small business owners with tax savings and improving profitability through insightful financial information.
Richard'smost recent role is the Managing Director of Community Engagement at Common Energy, starting from April 2020.

Richard Moore completed their high school education at Loyola Blakefield, earning a diploma in 1980. Richard then attended the University of Richmond - Robins School of Business from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting. During their time at the University of Richmond, they also achieved a Bachelor's degree cum laude in Accounting and Business/Management. Later, from 1987 to 1991, Richard Moore pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at the University of Baltimore School of Law, specializing in law.
