Suzanne Carroll

Suzanne Carroll has more than 20 years of experience in various roles related to IT risk management, security, and compliance. Suzanne began their career in the US Navy, where they served as a Quality Assurance Supervisor for 22 years. Following their retirement, they transitioned to the corporate sector and held positions at companies such as Countrywide, Chase Home Finance, and Fannie Mae, where they worked as a Senior Instructional Designer, developing training programs and implementing enterprise-wide learning solutions. Suzanne also worked as a Senior Instructional Designer for Atmos Energy, where they designed and implemented training solutions for the Technical Training division. More recently, they have focused on IT risk and audit roles, serving as a Senior Associate and Senior GRC Analyst at Santander Consumer USA, a Senior Security Analyst at Dean Foods, and currently as the Director of IT General Controls at the Community Choice Financial Family of Brands. Suzanne's experience includes overseeing internal and external audits, developing risk plans, ensuring cybersecurity governance and management, and aligning IT processes with enterprise policies and standards. Suzanne has a strong track record of success, including improving audit reporting results and receiving recognition for their contributions to training initiatives.

Suzanne Carroll's education history includes a Master of Laws - LLM degree in Cybersecurity Law and Management from Texas A&M University School of Law, obtained from 2021 to 2023. Suzanne also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Photography from Texas A&M University-Commerce, completed from 1989 to 1999.

In addition, Suzanne has obtained various certifications and non-degree programs. These include CPLP Preparatory Certification from The University of Dallas in 2012, a Certificate in E-learning using Flash from ASTD Online in 2011, and a Non-Degree program in Extended IT - .NET, WebAdmin, PM from TechSkills in 2010-2011.

Furthermore, they received a Certificate in Interactive Instructional Design from The Performance Company in 2005 and a Certificate in Subject Matter Instructor from US Navy, Center for Naval Education and Training in 2001.

Regarding additional certifications, Suzanne obtained an ITIL Foundation Level certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in an unspecified month of 2019.

Currently, they are pursuing RSA Archer Administration, Basic education from RSA Education, starting in 2015.
