Ann-Marie John

Ann-Marie John has a diverse work experience in the field of nursing and education. Ann-Marie is currently working as the Director of Wellness and Prevention at the Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Dean at Trocaire College from September 2019 to January 2022, where they showcased strong leadership and communication skills in health science education. Ann-Marie has also worked as an Associate Professor and Professor of Nursing at Northern Virginia Community College from January 2010 to January 2022. In addition, they served as a Clinical Adjunct Faculty at multiple colleges and universities, including George Mason University, Northern Virginia Community College, and Shenandoah University from May 2010 to July 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Monroe Community College from May 1995 to May 2010, where they administered nursing program courses and taught nursing theory. Ann-Marie also gained experience as the Director, Manager, Educator, Nurse Leader, and Teaching/Clinical Associate at the University of Rochester from August 1991 to August 1998.

Ann-Marie John has a diverse education history in the field of nursing. Ann-Marie obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina, where they studied from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, and their Associate of Applied Science in Nursing at City Tech, CUNY. Ann-Marie John also pursued a Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Rochester School of Nursing. In addition to their education, they hold a certification in CPR with AED from the American Heart Association.
