David Lewey

David Lewey is a seasoned professional in community safety and mental health, currently serving as a Firearm Suicide Prevention Community Organizer and Prevention Specialist at the Community Partnership of the Ozarks since November 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Police Officer for the City of Lee's Summit from January 2018 to October 2021 and for the City of Belton, MO from July 2016 to December 2017. David also worked as an Investigator at Jackson County Children’s Services from October 2014 to October 2015 and as a Detention Officer for the City of Blue Springs from December 2012 to October 2014. David earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University in 2009.
