Kristen Makous

Kristen Makous, MA, BCBA, LBA, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with extensive experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Currently serving at Compass ABA Therapy since October 2023, Kristen has also been an independent consultant since September 2012, specializing in working with individuals diagnosed with autism and their families. Previous roles include Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Therapeutic Alliance LLC (February 2020 - September 2023), Clinical Supervisor at Build N Care Therapy (April 2016 - December 2018), and Clinical Director at YALDEINU SCHOOL INC (April 2014 - April 2016), where oversight of ABA protocols and staff supervision was provided. Early career experience includes a role as Summer Transition Enrichment Coordinator at Wayfinder Family Services and as a Behavior Technician at California Unified Service Providers, LLC. Kristen holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an Applied Behavior Analysis focus from Florida International University.
