Accounting Manager

Concord Technologies is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for its growing team in Seattle, Washington. We are looking for a self-starter who enjoys making a difference.

Based in our Seattle headquarters near vibrant Pike Place, the Accounting Manager is a key contributor to the Finance and Accounting team. The Accounting Manager leads the accounting team and is expected to achieve success through the empowerment of their team and accountability. This role requires an in-depth understanding of the Company’s business processes along with the associated impact and risk to the financial statements. This role requires leadership skills and the ability to guide staff and the organization through both written and verbal form, and the ability to partner with other functions.

To be successful in this role, the candidate should be a highly motivated individual who can work through ambiguity, and they can creatively solve problems. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the members of the accounting team that support the month end close process.

  • Manage the preparation and analysis of the monthly financial statements as well as management reporting and assist with reviewing the results with senior leaders.

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition and general accounting.

  • Assist with financial audits and assist with audit request submission.

  • Assist with all tax and financial regulatory compliance issues including the preparation and submission of information to statutory authorities.

  • Establish objectives and maintain procedures for the team while leading the staff through reviews of complex accounting matters to ensure adherence with the Company’s accounting policies and guidelines.

  • Lead or participate in special projects and ad-hoc reporting, as necessary.

  • This role requires some hands-on work in addition to reviewing the work of others.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • 2+ years people management experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in general accounting, with at least 2 years of corporate accounting experience, 2+ years supervisory experience, managing audits and the closing of the books.

  • 2+ years’ experience overseeing the revenue recognition process in a software or technology company (i.e., U.S. GAAP ASC 606/IFRS 15)

  • SaaS company experience accounting for revenue recognition under ASC 606.

  • Experience in setting up business processes with Internal Controls.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Proficiency with Excel, including mastery of pivot tables, SUMIF, and VLOOKUP functions.

  • Experience working with ERP applications.

  • Team player and ability to interact professionally with all levels within the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional accounting certification such as CPA or equivalent.

  • Experience working with auditors.

  • Multi-national experience.

  • Public accounting experience preferred.

Work Environment:

Moderate noise level due to light traffic, computers, printers, fax/copy machines.

The compensation range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 (plus bonus). Range can flux dependent on experience.
