About the Role

LeapFrog Climate is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial professional to join our dynamic deal team. This is a distinctive opportunity for an ambitious individual eager to enhance their skills within a high-performance culture. The ideal candidate will possess experience in Investment Banking and/or Private Equity, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and have a proven track record of transaction execution in fast-paced environments.

In this role, you will contribute to our dedicated Climate Investment Strategy, collaborating across markets and supporting senior deal team members. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, performing financial analysis and valuation, preparing materials for the investment committee, and executing transactions. The climate team operates as a fully dedicated unit with its own Investment Committee and governance structures.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Conducting in-depth sectoral and market mapping research.

  • Managing the investment pipeline effectively.

  • Developing financial models, structuring deals, and executing transactions.

  • Overseeing various aspects of the due diligence process.

  • Preparing materials for the investment committee.

  • Managing day-to-day systems and processes across multiple divisions within the firm, including Impact, Investor Relations, Finance, and Human Resources.

  • Ensuring timely portfolio monitoring and reporting for existing portfolio companies.

  • Playing a key role in managing value creation initiatives within portfolio companies post-investment.

  • Identifying and deploying specialized local resources as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree with a strong academic record.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking and/or private equity, with a proven track record of completed transactions. A deal sheet must be submitted as part of the application.
  • Proven expertise in financial analysis, financial modelling, business assessment, and corporate or strategic advisory work.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) required.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems, identify root causes, and develop innovative strategies.
  • Additional experience in management consulting, energy, industrials, project finance, or infrastructure finance is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated passion for navigating emerging markets, with a high level of comfort in diverse cultural settings. Willingness to travel to the markets we serve is essential.
