Tracy Butt has a diverse work experience in the food industry spanning over several years. Tracy began their career at Wing's Food Products in 1996, where they worked as a receptionist before transitioning to the role of production coordinator. Tracy then moved into the research and development department, first as an R&D technologist and later as an R&D manager. In 2007, Tracy joined Maple Leaf Foods Inc, where they held positions as a senior product developer, senior process specialist, and technical manager. In 2017, they moved to Smucker Food of Canada Co as a manager of research development. Currently, Tracy is working as a researcher and lecturer at Conestoga College, starting in 2022. Tracy'sextensive experience in research and development positions highlights their expertise in the food industry.
Tracy Butt completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nutrition Sciences from Acadia University from 1990 to 1995. Tracy later pursued further education at the University of Guelph, where they obtained a Certificate in Food Science in 2005. Tracy then completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Food Safety and Quality Assurance from the same university, which they finished in 2013. Additionally, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2015.
